Web Merchandiser Location: Wakefield Salary: Competitive Closing Date: Sunday 23 September 2018 A superb role within the Marketing function with Card Factory, market leader in Cards and Giftware. Since our launch in 1997, Card Factory has become the fastest growing greetings card retailer in the UK and one of the leading lights of the industry. We sell a wide selection of cards, as well as gifts, gift bags and decorative wrapping materials. When it comes to special occasions, whatever the need, we’ve got it wrapped up! And we’re still growing; today we have over 900 stores, in every corner of the UK, with more popping up all the time. We are now looking to expand our new Marketing team, by recruiting two Web Merchandisers to accelerate the online growth in cards, gifts, party ware and wrap. The core objective of this role is to plan and implement the creation of all products for the website, maximise conversion into sales and ensure the web experience meets the customers’ highest standards. Overview of responsibilities for this role will be: Ensuring all new and existing product ranges are uploaded in-line with critical dates for both every day and seasonal products Manage all product photography, assets and content adhere to brand guidelines Working with Buying, Supply and Marketing teams to plan and execute the trading activity across the website Define and implement a cross-sell / up-sell programme onsite Review and share trading performance, with teams across the business Market and competitor information Key skills required: Commercially driven and sales orientated Analytical and with good data reporting skills Ability to work at pace and manage & prioritise multiple activities Exceptional eye for detail (creative and content) Self-starter, driven and keen to be part of a small and growing team The ideal candidate will have: An interest in digital / ecommerce technology and digital trends Good knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint & web analytics solutions (Google Analytics) An understanding of digital merchandising principles & consumer buying behaviour Relative experience in a merchandising role in a retail business Created and implemented merchandising processes This role may involve out of hours and weekend working to support the business needs and the ideal candidate will hold a full clean driving license as travel between group sites will be required.
