Charity Shop Volunteer Location: Werrington, Peterborough Closing Date: Thursday 25 April 2019 Deafblind UK is a membership organisation of, and governed by, people who have both a sight and hearing loss. We champion their rights and interests and deliver quality services which give individuals autonomy and control over their lives. We are very excited to announce our new venture into the retail market and looking forward to joining communities together and supporting even more people with sight and hearing loss. Every penny of profit made in our shops is reinvested to enable the charity to support more people. About You We are looking for enthusiastic, committed volunteers to help with the day to day running of our flagship shop in Werrington. This is a great opportunity to develop your retail skills through our in-house Volunteer Journey training and our e-learning facility, giving you all the tools you need to represent Deafblind UK with confidence. As well as sharing our organisational caring values you will also have the followingqualities and skills: Good communication skills, particularly with regard to conversational skills To be reliable and have a genuine interest to make a difference in lives of deafblind people Patience and a warm and friendly attitude The Role Duties will include assisting in stock management, designing window displays, operating the till and liaising with customers. The shop will be open 7 days a week - 9am to 4.30pm We are very flexible with shift patterns and greatly appreciate any applications from those giving as much time as you can spare.
