We believe the open exchange of information, ideas and opinions has the power to change the world for the better. Our independent journalism holds power to account across the globe and brings information that’s suppressed into the public domain. This openness allows us to provide our readers with the broadest possible perspective: the whole picture.
We are now looking for a Visual Projects Editor to lead project teams to produce original pieces of visual journalism.
You will be responsible for producing innovative, impactful pieces of digital storytelling designed to capture the attention and imagination of the Guardian’s global audience. Working with reporters and editors from many departments to conceptualise and plan around our highest-profile stories and biggest events, you will lead small cross-functional project teams of data journalists, designers, photographers, videographers and others from within Visuals to find new and creative ways to tell those stories.
Our ideal candidate will have experience managing projects in a news environment, editing pieces of visual journalism and an in-depth understanding of the production lifecycle from conception through to deployment.
