Department Profile The Institutional Equity Division (IED) is a global leader in the origination, distribution and trading of equity, equity-linked and equity-derivative securities. The Firm’s equity Sales & Trading operations provide liquidity, distribute content, and create product solutions to help our clients generate alpha. The Equity Financing Products department acts as a strategic partner to more than 800 top hedge fund managers: executing and clearing trades across asset classes, time zones, and currencies; providing financing and expertise to help manage risk and benefit from technology; and consults to help launch new funds and connect with them potential investors. Primary Responsibilities The Institutional Equity Division offers solutions to clients all over the EMEA region and has offices in London, Frankfurt, Milan, Madrid and Paris. The retail structured products team ("RSP") for Germany in London currently has a vacancy for a position in Sales, covering private banks, asset managers and independent financial advisors in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. RSP sales has a cross-asset mandate, which means that they offer structured solutions across all asset classes, ie. equities, rates, commodities and FX and work very closely with the relevant trading, structuring and transaction management groups. The team is supported by the groups in middle and back office as well as a dedicated sales support and a client onboarding team for onboarding new clients. Main job responsibilities are the acquisition of new and the managing of existing client relationships, always working to the clients' full satisfaction and representing Morgan Stanley as leading global player in a very challenging market space.Skills required (essential) • Proven experience in the field of Equity derivatives • Strong existing client relationships in Germany and Austria • Fluent in German and English • Knowledge of a broad range of asset classes, including equities, fixed income, FX, commodities and credit • Good organisational and time management skills plus the ability to multi-task and work under pressure. • Ability to quickly comprehend and filter complex information. This is often required within a short timeframe, as clients will generally look to you for input on a wide range of topics, some of which will be time-sensitive and may be confidential. • Excellent communication skills, confidence and the ability to clearly articulate complex situations often to senior client contacts.
