About the Role:
Weare now seeking aVeterinary Surgeon(VS), the role is responsible for the delivery of an efficient, professional and caring service to PDSA clients,providinga high standard of customer service and clinical care whilst also promoting pet wellbeing anddelivering preventive services.

We are a friendly and motivated team of 6 vets in a dynamic, modern, purpose-built and well equipped Pet Hospital with an excellent and varied caseload beyond any you are likely to see in first-opinion private practice. We are dedicated to continuous professional development with a proven history of supporting the completion of Advanced Practitioner certificates. We are passionate about promoting a healthy life for all our pets by preventing disease, educating owners and treating sick and injured animals.
Our Romford Pet Hospital has 6 consulting rooms; 2 dedicated theatres; large prep area; separate dog and cat kennelling; separate imaging suite with digital radiography, ultrasound and endoscopy; piped gases; extensive orthopaedic equipment and a supportive team of experienced Veterinary Surgeons, Registered Veterinary Nurses and Veterinary Care Assistants. All our staff have opportunity to work to their full potential; Registered Veterinary Nurses routinely perform consultations and Schedule 3 surgeries within their capabilities.
With London just a short train ride from Romford this is the perfect opportunity for someone to have the bustling city on their door step, whether it be theatre in the Westend, Food from Borough Market or just to be a tourist in your own country Romford has everything you are looking for.
Typically our vets work 1 in 14 Saturday mornings - 9am-12pm (with time off in lieu the following week). No OOH.
The successful candidate will be anRCVS registered Veterinary Surgeon and responsible forupdating their knowledge by attending regular CPD training. You will be involved in all aspects of clinical governance at the PetHospital, responsible for managing cases cost-effectively, encouraging financial contributions from clients, and making sure that PDSA resources are used appropriately.

PDSA is able to issue Certificates of Sponsorship for Tier 2 (General) Visas for suitable Veterinary Surgeon candidates. Sponsorship is subject to meeting all the criteria for the issue of a Certificate of Sponsorship, including being eligible to register as a Veterinary Surgeon with the RCVS upon arrival in the UK.
