Pharmacy Student Technician
Band 2 – £18,005 - £19,337
Full time – 37.5 hours per week

We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our friendly team at Royal Papworth Hospital who has an interest in a career in pharmacy. We are looking for somebody who is committed to their own development and able to work as part of a team. The successful candidate will require a minimum of 4 GCSEs at grade C or above (or equivalent), which must include Maths, English Language and TWO science subjects of which one MUST be Chemistry (dual science award accepted)
Candidates who possess a Level 4 or above qualification may not be eligible for apprenticeship funding and therefore may be required to self-fund the educational component of the course.
You must be willing to commit to a significant amount of study in your own time. This opportunity will allow the successful candidate to train over a 27 month period and collect evidence to obtain the Level 3 Pharmacy Technician (Integrated) apprenticeship.
You will be given the opportunity to work under the supervision of a team of experienced pharmacy professionals who will support you in gaining the relevant skills and knowledge to become a successful Pharmacy Technician.
Our team provides clinical pharmacy and medicines supply services across the Trust. Pharmacy team members are valued members of the multidisciplinary teams.
We aim to provide a pharmacy and medicines optimisation service which works collaboratively and compassionately with all services and service users to provide integrated, high quality, person centered pharmacy care and services to all.
The successful candidate will be expected to start in January 2021 on a fixed term contract for 27 months.
