In a rapidly changing and increasingly competitive healthcare environment, we are seeking to recruit a talented new Territory Manager to further strengthen our organisational capabilities in the region.
In this commercial sales role you will be responsible for delivering quarterly and annual territory targets for promoted products within BD MDS, through the understanding of the needs of our customers and positioning BD’s solution to meet those needs in a profitable manner.
With the recent acquisition of Bard Ltd, we are privileged to now offer clinicians the complete vascular access solution. The portfolio ranges from shorter term peripheral cannulas and syringes to long term central venous access catheters, focusing heavily on Peripherally Inserted Central Catheters (PICCS). As well as consumables you will be responsible for integrating ultrasound and ECG technology for the placement of PICCS into your target accounts. The focus departments within the hospital environment will be ITU, Theatres, Wards, Infection Prevention, A& E and Procurement.
Understand customer goals & drivers to build strong and mutually beneficial relationships, positioning BD as the partner of choice.
Proactively develop and implement territory plans for sustainable, long term sales success. Review and alter this plan in line with BD MDS strategy & direction.
Follow account management plan by area growth, to focus on top 5 accounts.
Effectively manage key account priorities to position, sell & implement BD Added Value Services.
Analysis of sales data, trends and metrics.
Effective delivery of BD Value Add Programmes (training & education).
Work closely with Clinical Teams to conduct and manage product trials & in-service processes as part of account conversion.
Report and work effectively with the Regional Business Manager and achieve standards, expectations and performance as agreed.
Liaise collaboratively with BD departments such as the Marketing team to maximise business potential.
Communication of market and competitor information.
Contribute to compelling business case development with RSM and Business Operations.
Living on territory, the ideal candidate will be:
Educated to degree level or equivalent
Extensive sales experience with demonstrable record of success in NHS Healthcare sales
Demonstrate a strategic mindset with success in coordinating numerous departments and customer types within the NHS setting
Highly motivated, action oriented initiative taker and good organisational skills.
Ability to work both individually and as part of a team is essential.
Demonstrate PC-literacy, especially in MS Office.
