Contracts Technician Location: Maidstone Salary: £19,000 Closing Date: Monday 11 February 2019 Purpose of the Role: Ensure that all information held in relation to Counterparties is accurate and that it meets all regulatory and Group requirements. To enable Group businesses to transact business with Carriers and Agents in a way that adheres to the FCA guidelines, Carrier requirements and Group procedures. Job Description: Review, negotiate and occasional drafting of Counterparty Contracts (Terms of Business Agreements (ToBAs)/Delegated Underwriting Authority Agreements (DUA)): Liaise with the Group Business Unit or Insurer Relationship Team to ensure the correct business case and all relevant documents have been completed and sign off/relevant approvals have been given Review Contracts and, where appropriate, with Insurer Relationship Team, support the negotiations to obtain preferred group standard terms, obtain approval/sign off to terms outside of the standard or reject terms as appropriate. Day to Day use of CCT System to ensure all Counterparty records are up to date - update with any changes to current terms, acquisitions, cancellation, name and/or address changes etc… Day to Day use of CCT System to ensure all Agreement relationships are up to date – update when the Agreements have been finalised and signed, record when terms are changed with renewals, Endorsements, Novations etc... Deal with Counterparty related enquires Build relationships with other key stakeholders Support and occasional Lead on Project work as required Maintain effective controls to minimise the risk of Group dealing with unauthorised Counterparties including monitoring Counterparties internal stakeholders to ensure they comply with FCA regulations and company-wide policies and ensure all of our Carriers are FCA regulated and not a financial risk. To undertake training in line with agreed objectives and keep up-to-date with technical, legal and market developments via use of e-learning, internal training and reading market related material and to maintain and develop personal knowledge and skills through continued professional development as well as ongoing at desk training and ensuring that this is recorded in line with Training & Competency requirements.
