Our Business Development Team at Ocean Certification are now recruiting for a Technical Sales Officer to join our long-establishedteam to further drive our sales success and provide excellent support to clients.
An office-based role at our Newcastle upon Tyne office, the successful candidate will be responsible for delivering on monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets, contributing to the overall revenue targets for certification sales.

A Technical Sales Officer will be required to:
Build relationships with new and existing clients, providing technical advice on the certification process, alongside handling new business enquiries in a timely manner.
Drive sales growth within the organisation and achieve annual sales targets.
Take full responsibility to accurately use the CRM for pipeline management to provide forecasting and sales reports.
Follow Ocean Certification’s handling enquiries process to support compliance to UKAS requirements.
Working collaboratively with fellow teams and our Business Development Manager and Marketing Manager on new business development strategies, processing of applications and resolving technical issues.
Coordinate with auditors and operations staff to ensure a smooth client transition throughout our processes.
Review contracts with existing clients and consult on the scheduling of assessment programmes for larger contracts.
Ideal Candidate attributes:
The successful candidate will be an articulate, self-motivated professional with a significant outbound Technical Sales experience.
The successful candidate will be motivated by sales targets and will have the ability to develop strong working relationships with clients either over the phone or at face to face meetings.
A self-starter, an effective communicator and be systems proficient. We are looking for an adaptable candidate who holds a hands-on approach.
Hold a minimum of 2 years sales B2B sales experience with a proven track record of sales success.
Hold at least 1 year of experience working within the certification industry in a sales related role.
