Due to continued year on year growth, our client has an exciting opportunity within their commercial aluminium architectural facade division.
This is a pivotal role within the company. You will be given orders by their designers to place; you will then enter and place these orders through our purchasing software (Pegasus). They require these orders to be tracked, allocated as received to stock and any shortages or delays to be chased with the relevant suppliers.
You will be working within a busy design office with a group of experienced and professional estimators and designers on delivering projects within contracted timescales and budgets.
You will have the following attributes and skills:
•Organised with an eye for detail
•Extensive experience of accountancy software packages, they use ‘Pegasus’ but knowledge of Sage, Elite or similar will ensure a rapid familiarisation
•Extensive knowledge of Microsoft office in particular Word, Excel and Outlook
•A methodical approach and excellent organisational skills.
•Experience of purchasing processes specifically the placing, tracking and chasing of orders to suppliers
•A can-do attitude
•Ability to work to deadlines, deal with the pressure of the role and have a robust approach to work
•Meticulous in ensuring tasks are completed
The role will predominantly cover the following duties:
•Ensuring all purchase orders are placed on ‘Pegasus’ correctly
•Update and amended all delivery dates for orders as required on ‘Pegasus’
•Ensuring all ‘goods in delivery notes’ are accurately logged on Pegasus on a daily basis
•Ensuring minimum and maximum stock levels are maintained at all times
•Produce weekly reports of expected ‘goods in’
•Communicate delayed arrival of goods to the relevant people or projects
•Track all glass, aluminium profile and accessories against expected delivery times and coordinate the return of stillages to suppliers
•Take a lead role in providing accurate information for stock takes on a quarterly basis
•Provide accurate information to production meetings that you will attend
•Update supplier lists, stock lists and prices with ‘Pegasus’
•Communicate with suppliers so the company has real time information about specific orders – Chasing overdue orders
•Book out/book in stock to jobs
This a full-time post of 39 hours per week
