We are looking for a dynamic, hardworking teaching assistant to join our team at Little Kingshill Combined School.
The position will be for 6.25 hours per day, 5 days a week, 39 weeks of the year starting in September 2019
The successful candidate will support in the classroom in addition to supporting children with EHCP plans.

About the role
Working with Children
The Teaching Assistant will lead small groups of children during group time or during free play where requested on an activity set by the teacher or planned and delivered by themselves if requested.
The Teaching Assistant will guide and assist the development of children’s social behaviour, attitudes and skills, as appropriate, following all aspects of the schools behaviour policy.
The Teaching Assistant will assist with the supervision of children in all areas of the school – this is to include such things as: break times and lunch time cover.
The Teaching Assistant will work with special needs children on their individual targets as requested by the Teacher.
The Teaching Assistant will be expected to cover short term absence by the Teacher (up to 3 days) stepping up to cover the responsibilities of that role.
Monitoring, Assessment and Reporting
The Teaching Assistant in EYFS will carry out and record observations of children.
The Teacher Assistant in KS1/KS2 will be expected to plan, lead and to deliver interventions to groups of children and feeding back to the Class Teacher/SENCO
Care and Welfare
The Teaching Assistant will ensure all safeguarding regulations are compiled with at all times
The Teaching Assistant will ensure that Health and Safety Regulations are compiled with at all times.
The Teaching Assistant will liaise with SLT where necessary to ensure the care and welfare of children.
The Teaching Assistant will be expected to follow all school policies regarding medical issues.
The Teaching Assistant will help children with managing their personal hygiene skills, this will include such things as: changing soiled children, toileting requirements and clearing up after medical incidents
