At Green Ridge Primary Academy, we are looking for Teaching Assistants who will work as part of our support staff team, across the school, to support children in their learning and development, including those children with Special Educational Needs and for whom English may be an additional language.
We are looking for someone who is up for getting stuck in to all aspects of academy life!
Green Ridge Academy is a new primary school built on Berryfields, which opened in September 2017 in temporary accommodation on the site of the permanent building. The permanent school building opened in September 2018. The academy currently has two Nursery classes, two Reception classes, two Year One classes, a Year Two class and a Year Three class. The school will grow year-on-year, taking children from aged 2-11. The school will initially have a capacity for over 450 children, but is being built with the additional capacity to extend to a three-form entry school with just over 650 children.
About the role
34.5 hours per week
8.30am-5.30pm Monday or Wednesday; 8.30am-3.30pm Tuesday/Thursday/Friday, including 30 minutes unpaid lunchbreak each day.
39 weeks per year (term time plus INSET days)
Bucks Pay Range 1b, Scale point 8 – 10 £16,925.88 - £18,304.92 per annum (Full Time Equivalent) Actual salary £13,347 - £14,435 approx.
As a member of the academy’s support staff team you will be responsible for supporting the development of all children, including those with SEND and for whom English is an additional language, supporting their knowledge, understanding and skills across all areas of learning.
This may be supporting children on a one-to-one basis, supporting small groups or delivering interventions and additional support to children as needed. This will be a flexible role which could be working with all children across the academy, from Early Years to Key Stage 2.
The role also includes supervising children during break and lunchtimes, both on the playground and in the dining room.

We welcome applications from candidates with experience from educational or other relevant childcare backgrounds.
Ideally, the successful candidate will be expected to either hold, or be prepared to undertake if needed, a full and relevant Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Childcare as required to work flexibly across the Early Years and Key Stage 1 classes as the academy grows.
We also welcome applications for graduates who are looking to gain experience before enrolling onto a teacher-training programme.
