The Adult Learning Service is a highly-acclaimed department within NYCC, offering educational opportunities in numerous subjects to adults. The service has a flexible approach to their working and welcomes applicants with various working hour requirements. Our key priority is to deliver learning which meets the needs of local communities with a focus on unemployed adults and those furthest from the labour market. It also supports learners with health and wellbeing issues that are a barrier to their participation in their community or the world of work. We are looking for teachers with an excellent working knowledge of adult education as well as the ability to deliver lessons and engage with students in a creative way. As an Adult Learning Teacher, you will monitor the progress of learners, assessing areas where they may need additional assistance. Through sharing tips and strategies you will provide support to all individuals in order to helps all learners achieve their full potential. The successful candidates will hold a teaching qualification (Level 3 Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector (PTLLS) or Award in Education and Training Level 3) as a minimum and evidence of subject specialism.
