Support Worker - Claremont Road Location: Sherwood Rise, Nottingham Salary: £16,543 - £18,806 per annum pro-rata + enhancements Hours: 1 x 30 hour post (part time) and 1 x 37 hour post (full time) Closing Date: Sunday 09 December 2018 This post is exempt under Sch 9 Pt 1 of the Equality Act 2010 and is only open to male applicants Claremont Road is a registered care home providing person centred care and support for adults with a learning disability. We are currently looking for dynamic, enthusiastic and motivated male Support Workers who are passionate about making a difference in people’s lives and can demonstrate our company values. The role is varied and includes support with personal care needs, supporting activities, domestic duties, manual handling and emotional support. A willingness to learn and a desire to support people to live happy, fulfilled and independent lives is essential. Previous experience is preferred but not essential as full training will be given. On-going training and career progression opportunities are also available throughout the organisation. All successful candidates will be required to work on a shift basis over a 24 hour period including weekends, bank holidays and sleep- ins; a 33% bonus is paid for waking nights and double time paid for Christmas and New Year shifts. In addition, an allowance of £36.24 is also paid for sleep-ins. Please note that due to the needs of the customers, there may be an element of moving and handling involved in the role; as such, you will need to be willing and able to undertake these duties.
