About the Service: Our Wells Road project, based in St Anns, is a registered care home providing long term services for six people with a learning disability. Click here for more information. The home operates seven days a week, with shifts from 7am until 2.30pm and 2.30pm until 9.15pm on a rota basis. There are no requirements for night working. What are we looking for? We are looking for a Support Worker to join the dedicated Wells Road team, where no two days will be the same. The role is varied and includes support with personal care needs, support planning, key working and medication duties; for which full training will be provided. To keep the residents engaged, you will support them to participate in activities, interests and hobbies of their choice and support them to lead happy, fulfilled and independent lives. What we need from you: You will need to be patient, innovative, compassionate and above all, caring. Whilst previous experience in care is always desirable, we also welcome people who are seeking a new career in care, as plenty of training will be provided. You will be given an in depth induction and help towards obtaining your Care Certificate. If you are able to think outside the box and bring a sense of fun when you come to work, then we want you!
