Are you a Support Worker or would you like a rewarding new career?
We need dedicated Support Workers to work with adults with learning disabilities and mental health needs. This is also a great opportunity for carers (HCAs) looking to work in a different setting.
Support work offers you a chance to make a genuine difference to people’s lives, on a daily basis we empower people to meet their aspirations and goals in life, and to live as independently as they wish and you can be a part of it. Support work offers you a chance to make a genuine difference to people’s lives and no day will be the same!
We currently have opportunities for support workers to join our supported living team in Wyton, Cambridgeshire, supporting people with learning disabilities and other associated needs.
You will be supporting people both in their own home and in the community and will be integral to the day to day lives of the people you support, supporting them with health and well-being, personal care, including intimate personal care, meal preparation and leisure activities, whilst ensuring that people are central to their support planning and empowered to achieve their goals.
Previous support experience is an advantage, but we believe that if you have the right values and genuine desire to want to support people to become as independent as they want then we can offer you the training and support to make this your new career.
You will need to work flexibly and participate in shift work, including weekends and bank holidays. You may also be required to undertake some sleep in shifts as part of your rota for which we pay an additional amount per sleep in.
Being a driver is desirable but not essential This post will be subject to an enhanced DBS check which will be provided by Affinity Trust.
