SUPPLY CHAIN CO-ORDINATOR
BURTON ON TRENT
We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Logistics professional to join our small but busy Logistics department in Burton on Trent.
Reporting to the Logistics Manager, you will be an integral and credible member of the team, responsible for ensuring the flow of deliveries through management and co-ordination of third parties.
Key responsibilities include:
•Creating reports from SAP for distribution to Management/Directors
•Ensuring order alignment in line with customer data
•Establishing flows with all customers and key customer warehouses
•Availability management for all of UK across Car
•Interface with commercial on all Logistics matters including availability requests, collate and ask to Milan
•Liaise with Milan on urgent delivery requirements
•Liaise with hauliers to avoid delays in deliveries
•Manage inbound flow into customer warehouses and RDWHs from abroad
•Updating orders in line with non-conformance
•Co-ordinating with commercial to ensure credit notes are raised
•Weekly meeting with Milan, Commercial and Managers to discuss improvements and issues
•Product availability checks
•Liaise with customer regarding service and availability
•Liaise with Carriers regarding timeliness of deliveries
•Involvement in stock takes as and when required
•Management of inbound/outbound slots
•Attend customer meetings as and when required
•Take responsibility for panic deliveries
•Supporting with month-end activities
•Involvement and support with internal and external audits
The successful candidate should be degree educated, and have knowledge of a Logistics function. Experience of working within a UK Logistics function is desirable. Previous experience of working within a problem solving based role is essential.
In addition, you should be comfortable with data extraction and manipulation, so strong IT knowledge and skills, particularly in Excel, are essential. SAP experience is preferred. As you will be liaising with internal and external customers, along with carriers, you should have excellent communication skills, able to establish and maintain strong relationships, whilst being able to positively influence and persuade others.
Due to the nature of the role, you should be able to demonstrate strong organisation skills, able to work flexibly to ensure tight deadlines are acheived
