Supplier Quality Manager
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Supplier Quality Manager to join a market leading engineering organisation who specialise within the automotive, aerospace and oil and gas industry. The company are leading competitors in what they do and they are looking for the next individuals who can help assist them in their journey to greater success across the supply chain.
The Supplier Quality Manager will be an individual who has a proven track record of dealing with supplier quality and have experience in managing and developing supplier relationships and have experience in international auditing. They will need to show an ability to lead aerospace/engineering projects and be an individual who has the ability to be a part of the senior leadership team and assist in the direction of the company.
Supplier Quality Manager Responsibilities:
The role of the Supplier Quality Manager will involve:
•Be the Supplier Quality lead for Company and work towards a total quality management system across the supply chain
•Be a part of the senior management team and lead strategic change within the business
•Support the classification and positioning of the quality strategy for the supply chain
•Undertake Supplier auditing activities, mainly within Europe however with the chance of going further afield
•Manage the SQM team- including more junior SQE’s
•Ensure the Supplier Quality Team are trained and adhere to our portfolio of the aerospace standards (AS9100) and other company standards
•Support Customer driven Quality activities in the UK and overseas by phone or personal visit as required
Supplier Quality Manager requirements:
•Have a proven track record of working within the automotive/aerospace/oil and gas sector with a strong working knowledge of TS16949, AS9100, ISO9001
•Held previous positions as lead supplier quality engineer/supplier quality manager within engineering who has led teams and projects
•Work collaboratively with the senior leadership team and cohesively with the supplier quality manager
•Establish and maintain structure within the supply chain and quality department
•Establish continuous improvements across supplier quality including with reducing costs, hitting KPI’s and assist in NPI
•Offer support and direction with strategic business plans and decisions
