Job Summary Under general direction, you will provide leadership for execution of the architectural and technological strategies that support the development and implementation of initiatives based on Common Delivery, Services Based Architecture, and Agility, for complex and/or multiple portfolios or domains. In addition, you will be responsible for providing some technical leadership for complex applications. You may be required to manage Architectural staff. Primary Job Duties & Responsibilities Lead effort or multiple parts of efforts in association with solutions, roadmaps, and architectural recommendations. Facilitate and/or execute the governance process (i.e. blueprint and design reviews) for large projects. Implement the strategy for stability and performance of solutions (including - project level design, debug and performance analysis) at the application level. Provide input into portfolio or prioritisation process and partners with leadership to define how escalation for remediation of application stability and performance will be managed for scope. Drive adoption of new concepts, ideas, techniques, best practices and technology assistance (best practices, guidelines and models for supported technologies.) Provide thought leadership for matching technology with business concepts. Champion collaboration at the application level. Participate in enterprise engagements and initiatives like Centres of Excellence and own deliverables associated with these efforts. Participate in development and production support of application utilities and own deliverables associated with these efforts. Participate in vendor and product management strategies to establish required infrastructures and frameworks and own deliverables associated with these efforts. Own deliverables associated with product evaluations and Proof of Concepts. Implement architectural strategy. Provide subject matter expertise at application level. Minimum Qualifications Must have experience in multiple technologies and architectures. Education, Work Experience & Knowledge Experience in leading architecture technology directions and teams. Experience in enterprise, business, data, application, and technical architecture. Working knowledge and experience with product and/or project management and Software development Life Cycle (SDLC.) Completed multiple engagements of a variety of complexity. Experience with influencing people in a matrixed organisation. Insurance industry experience preferred. Able to prioritise on your own and help staff to prioritise workload.
