Job Summary You will work alongside the Continuous Improvement Centre of Expertise (CICoE) to support the leadership and creation of strategy for the CICoE on all initiatives from discovery to implementation to support the delivery of the CiCoE targeted annual savings. You will be expected to set priorities and meet specific goals and objectives of the function or unit where the improvement has been identified. With your expert ability, you will train and enable the CICoE team members and the broader Lean Practitioner community on how to use Lean and Six Sigma tools and techniques. Your role will ensure that over time we achieve the right levels of skill and knowledge to enable self-sufficient delivery of Continuous Improvement throughout the Europe organisation and you are critical to creating a culture of continuous improvement. Primary Job Duties & Responsibilities You will: Create project plans and guide CICoE team members, including colleagues trained/certified to become certified to Green/Yellow belt level. Be responsible for establishing and managing the CICoE standards and governance framework. Develop and monitor a mentoring programme for the Lean Practitioner community. Support the implementation of Lean initiatives and programmes, taking responsibility for initiatives assigned to you. Oversee the development and execution of the Training and Accreditation programme. Support the broader training programme for Lean Practitioners, ensuring that the appropriate time and resource is made available for successful implementation of items on the quick wins register and large change initiatives/ programmes. Coach and mentor the CICoE team and Lean Practitioner community. Facilitate the identification of resource to support the Opportunity Register and initiatives. Regularly review and undertake tollgate sessions to ensure projects are on time and meet the requirements of the Business and Customer. Provide approval of project closure and handover to the Business. Create and deliver a framework for the CICoE to be self-sufficient and self-sustaining in process improvement initiatives and endeavours to support the annualised benefits identified by the Head of Operations and CICoE lead. Assess training needs in close consultation with Subject Matter Experts across Europe at all levels in the organisation and respond to feedback to further improve on the training portfolio. Develop a 2 year rolling training programme for each level within the team and community of practice across Europe to ensure skills and knowledge progression, identifying providers where necessary and initiate training events in a timely fashion. Develop and / or arrange production of training manuals that can be applied widely across our community of practice. Develop and initiate regular follow-up refresher training programmes, in consultation with SME's and updating the CiCOE overall Training Strategy, annually or as required. Coach, mentor and develop Project Team members and Business leaders on process optimisation and effectiveness. Develop and deliver training materials/programmes across the Europe business. Ensure there is effective communication across the team and community of practice with regards to training and resolves issues and provides guidance where needed. Minimum Qualifications Six Sigma Black belt with significant experience leading Lean/Six Sigma projects. Experience of delivering skills and knowledge training. Education, Work Experience & Knowledge University degree preferred. Extensive knowledge of the insurance industry and operating models. Proven ability to lead change and transformation efforts in a complex environment. Proven experience in effectively coaching, mentoring and utilizing Key Performance Management principles. Strong ability to gain stakeholder support and to communicate effectively with Senior Leaders. Successfully collaborated within team and throughout the organisation to bring desired results. Excellent negotiation skills. Provided a significant contribution to the definition and monitoring of benefits during project delivery. Effectively navigated organisations to ensure issues are resolved appropriately. Have experience of creating and / or reviewing training material and programmes to ensure their relevance and effectiveness. Have excellent stakeholder management, communication and leadership skills. Be an excellent coach with strong mentoring and facilitation skills.
