Site Officer Location: Chippenham Full Time Permanent Salary: £21,527 per annum Wiltshire College & University Centre is the main provider of further and higher education in Wiltshire and is fast on its way to becoming outstanding having achieved a good Ofsted grade in June 2018. Based across the county on 4 main campuses, the College offers an extensive range of courses at all levels and has ambitious plans for growth in a region with exciting potential. We are currently seeking a Site Officer to join our Estates and Services team, based at our Chippenham Campus on a full time basis. The main purpose of this role is to assist and be proactive in maintaining a welcoming, clean, safe and secure site whilst providing a flexible, customer focused, comprehensive and effective facility management site service. Within this role your main responsibilities will include the opening and closing of the college, providing a general porterage service including moving furniture and equipment and assist with security/personal incidents in a professional manner. You will also be expected to undertake cleaning/rubbish or litter removal, deal with emergency spillages, floods and drain blockages and carry out portable appliance (PAT) testing. The successful candidate will have worked within a similar role previously and will ideally hold or be working towards a Level 3 Facilities Management (or similar) qualification. It would be advantageous for you to be trained in the use of PAT testing equipment and be first aid trained with a defibrillator certificate and it would also be advantageous for you to have experience of dealing with the enforcing and regulatory authorities. Previous experience of executing/operating building systems and maintenance schedules is essential as is being able to demonstrate effective organizational skills and implement new systems of working. You must be IT literate, flexible in your approach to work and be able to work both alone and as part of a team. It would be advantageous for you to hold a full UK driving licence and have access to a vehicle for work purposes.
