Site Maintenance Engineer
Salary: Competitive, DOE
Benefits: Salary is paid monthly in arears, 25 days holiday (pro-rata) plus bank holidays, a generous auto-enrolled pension scheme is in place. Any specific training necessary will be provided.
Hours: Full time or as a potentially part time role share
Location: Peterborough, Cambridgeshire, PE8 6HJ
Situated at Thornhaugh near Peterborough and established in 1956 the PGRO is a charity that conducts applied crop research. Focussed upon improving crop production and providing advice and guidance to growers the small team has a long history of conducting reputable agricultural crop trials up and down the UK.
Due to intended retirement they currently have an exciting opportunity for a Site Maintenance Engineer to join them. The busy role is wide and varied with freedom to manage the workload with a high degree of independence, whilst at the same time being very flexible to changing circumstances.
Responsibilities vary from preventative maintenance to emergency breakdowns on and off site. Equipment ranges from trial plot combine harvesters and small agricultural vehicles to general machinery, site and grounds maintenance and PAT testing.
The Ideal Candidate:
•Previous experience in a similar role
•Organisation skills and a methodical approach to work
•Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
•Accuracy and attention to detail
•Full UK Driving License and own transport would be essential
•Eligible to work in the UK
•Able to travel daily to Cambridgeshire, PE8 6HJ
