Summary of Responsibilities: Reporting to the The Director of Retail, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following: Have excellent reading and writing skills in the English language. To have the ability to built a strong working relationship with other food and beverage outlets. Effectively manage your time and productivity whilst at work. Report for duty punctually and in the correct grooming standards with uniform neat and tidy. Ensure all operating equipment is handled carefully avoiding abuse and minimizing breakage. Keep a high Standard of personal hygiene and appearance. Approach the guest in the correct manner as laid out by Fairmont Standards. Attend to all guest requests, being constantly aware of anticipating guests’ needs and to remain in the restaurant at all times during service. Attend to complaints concerning food and service and follows procedures. Use the guests name whenever possible, in accordance with Fairmont Standards. Have full knowledge of the shop retail items, to be able to explain and recommend products to our guests. Follow and complete any instructions given to you by your Managers. Speak English at all times within the Savoy Hotel. Have good Micros skills and follow correctly the Micros billing system. Show excellent team work skills and support your Managers and colleagues at all times. Take responsibility for the outlet during the shift, allocating team members their duties and monitoring the smooth running of the outlet. Accept additional responsibilities within the outlet outside of the shift; such as training new colleagues, etc Be responsible for the replenishment and control the charging and stock holding. Ensure that the standards of service are adhered to and exceeded on each shift. Supervise the provision of all crockery, cutlery, detergents and kitchenware. Ensure the outlet and all its content is maintained in a clean state and in good repair at all times any defaults should be reported to the Engineer department. Ensure adequate security for food and equipment. Ensure that the dining rooms, kitchen, storage facilities and other work areas are kept clean and conform to sanitary regulations. Qualifications: Preferably 1-3 years experience in the Hospitality Industry. Outstanding communication skills, both written & verbal. A confident & dynamic speaker, able to communicate and interact effectively with all levels of an organization. Enthusiastic and positive personality with the ability to build trusting relationships with others. Proven organizational skills, works well on their own. Able to set and meet deadlines with quality results. Ability to read and interpret documents such as spreadsheets and accounting documents Ability to write reports and correspondence Ability to speak effectively with internal and external customers Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Spreadsheets, Microsoft Access, Microsoft PowerPoint, E-mail. Applicable job related skills as per Accountable Duties. Physical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to): Frequent standing and walking throughout shift Frequent lifting and carrying up to 20 lbs Frequent kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramps Visa Requirements: Must be legally eligible to work in the UK.
