Server/Workstation Networks Support Engineer

A fantastic opportunity for a Support Engineer to join a growing company based in Ilford, Essex on a permanent basis. The Support Engineer will be responsible for providing first line/second line support to a variety of end users; via a ticketing system, through email/phone and face to face support.
This role is perfect for a self-starter looking to support and hardware reporting to the Computer Networks Operations Manager.
Working as part of a small Technical Team you will be responsible for managing the day to day infrastructure, troubleshooting problems and assisting with project work. You will possess excellent customer support skills and the ability to communicate with colleagues of all grades and levels of IT literacy. A background troubleshooting Microsoft and Apple products is expected along with face to face support experience.
The successful candidate will possess a minimum of 5 Years’ Experience in the required fields below and the capability of inspiring customers and colleagues with the professionalism he or she will deliver on behalf of company.
- •Office 365 and Office 365 Migration
•Draytek Routers: VPN, Port Forwarding, Static Routing, WAN Load Balancing,
•Hyper-V: Deploy, Install and Configure
•Microsoft Active Directory and Microsoft Group Policy
•Knowledge of HP Hardware, Server and PC’s
•DNS and Name Server Programming: - MX, TXT, A, SPF, NS, Domain and Sub Domain, CNAME Records.
•Apple Mac Operating systems; MACS, iPad, MacBook’s, iPhones.
•Detailed knowledge of building and installing and Configuring Windows Servers Operating Systems: (Domain Controllers, Terminal Servers, Exchange Servers and all Windows Desktop
•PowerShell: DOS/Command Shell; Microsoft Exchange
•Buffalo and QNAP NAS Drives
•Server Backup Systems
•Fresh Desk Helpdesk System
The role does not pay overtime, but a discretionary Bonus is paid at the end of the Year depending on the employees performance and the orgainsation's financial growth.
The successful candidate will work as required to ensure that company's clients are delighted with the service provided.
The role requires the candidate to have a full driving license and they must have their own vehicle to drive to and from customers as required. Business Millage and Travel will be reimbursed.
MCSE, Microsoft Small Business Specialist, CCSA or CCSE Certified
Salary & Benefits
A Highly competitive salary in the region of £23,000 - £26,000 plus Pension
