Risk Engineer – Power (Homebased, UK)
We’re hiring! Aon are currently recruiting a Risk Engineer - Power to join Aon Global Risk Consulting. The role will be UK homebased. The Risk Engineer - Power will be primarily responsible for:
Providing engineering services to support internal and external clients in the power generation and electricity transmission sectors. This will encompass conventional and renewable power generation technologies, as well as transmission and distribution technologies.

About the Role As a Risk Engineer - Power some of your key responsibilities will involve:
Identify and evaluate potential project risks at all phases of a project lifecycle and propose technical solutions.
Conduct risk assessment surveys of client facilities and provide clients with risk improvement advice.
Undertake consultancy assignments to support stakeholders at all stages of project lifecycle
Prepare comprehensive technical and analytical reports.
Provide technical support and advice.
Identify opportunities for business development and participate in sales presentations to prospects.
Liaise with other power engineers within Aon globally, and input to the development of industry leading technical procedures specifically for the power sector.
Responsible for working in accordance with the Aon UK Limited Risk Management Framework, and compliance with the Aon UK Limited policies, including participation in the management of risks (including completion of mandatory training) that may adversely affect the business, interests or reputation of any Group Company.
About you As a Risk Engineer - Power your skills and qualifications will ideally include:
A degree in an engineering discipline.
Proven experience in an engineering or operations role within the power generation or electricity transmission industries.
Demonstrated ability to produce written reports.
Good interpersonal skills at all levels in an organisation.
Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
A willingness to undertake significant amounts of national and international travel.
Strong electrical or civil engineering background.
Experience of working in different countries.
Experience in a consultancy environment.
Experience in offshore wind including GWO certification for wind turbine access and sea survival, or a willingness to obtain. Helicopter Underwater Escape Training certification may also be required
