They are a fast growing company, looking for an experienced and enthusiastic PHP developer to join a new Research and Development division of their team, helping to build out internal intellectual property and driving the business forward with new and innovative technologies and products which help us accelerate the business for years to come.

Roles & Responsibilities
They are on the lookout for an experienced and self motivated PHP Developer to join the team, working alongside the Head of Development and Team Leads to build out intellectual property which can be used to improve our delivery times on projects, offer new services and help drive the company forward.
The role involves understanding requirements from their Managing Director, Head of Development and Team Leads and transitioning these into projects which have an end result. Internally, they are looking to build out an iPaaS solution which will help us with integrations across the group, alongside exploring Headless/PWA technologies.
The role will be separated from day to day client work and entirely focused on building out new technology which helps benefit both their clients and the overall group. They have a number of initial projects we would like to look at and you will be part of a small team dedicated to getting these projects across the line.
Delivery of new projects (Middleware solution, Headless / PWA framework etc)
Key Performance Indicators
Accuracy of estimates vs actuals
Well documented code and specification documents
Working with their internal teams to gather requirements, write functional specification documents and implement these in a structured and timely manner
Your Duties and Responsibilities
Working with the Head of Development and Team Leads to architect eloquent solutions to complex problems - your role will involved building internal intellectual property which helps to improve the quality of work, continue pushing them forward as an agency and improving delivery times for clients.
Assist the QA team in ensuring deliverables meet business requirements.
Ensuring all code is written to an exceptionally high standard, well documented and maintainable for future use
Assisting in training up the internal teams on any new technologies / software they have developed
Constant research into eCommerce technologies to ensure that they remain in-the-know around new and emerging technologies (especially in areas such as Headless / PWA)
Build and manage relationships with internal teams
Be an active, motivated and inspired member of the team
Maintaining a full understanding of company processes, policies, guidelines and contractual obligations and ensuring these are consistently followed.

Prior experience with Laravel
2+ years’ experience in eCommerce focused roles and solid experience with core eCommerce principles
A good understanding of 3rd party integrations frequently used within eCommerce businesses (essentially a solid knowledge of how middleware works)
A strong analytical mind, capable of mapping out a solution from start to finish
Solid experience working with APIs and managing large volumes of data
Demonstrable knowledge of building solutions capable of syncing large quantities of data
Ability to demonstrate strong problem solving skills and attention to detail when scoping and documenting tasks
Comfortable with demoing updates to the wider team at set milestones
Have experience of solid communication skills, both will internal development teams and when documenting out completed work
Ability to work with minimal supervision with an ability to plan and prioritise your own time and workload to ensure all deadlines and deliverables are met on time and to the required standard.
Provide positive contributions to a team-working environment, in relation to ideas, providing support to colleagues, building strong working relationships with colleagues, understanding internal roles and responsibilities.
Skills they’d love you to have
