The Data & Analytics (D&A) Capability Group is focused on delivering leading edge services in the following areas: Information & data management, business intelligence & reporting, advanced analytics and enterprise performance management to our clients. We offer services ranging from strategy development to end to end delivery through to program delivery assurance and governance. As a Management Consultant (at Senior Manager level), you will build on your existing industry and technical knowledge to support us in guiding our clients through the challenges of implementing key business transformation initiatives which drive change throughout an organisation. Although a robust advisory methodology underpins our engagement delivery, clients each face their own specific business problems, so a key component of the role is the interaction with senior client stakeholders to fully understand the business context and the nature of their requirements, before determining the right approach and solution ensuring that there is a clear link between our work and value creation for the business. Within the context of business development and client engagements, specific responsibilities include: • Working with Sector leadership to identify potential market opportunities within the Data Management space. • Utilising your own network and the firms to build out a pipeline in the Data Management space. • Leading sales and marketing campaigns and producing White Papers/POV’s. • Internal and external branding via conference and trade show presence. • Managing the development and presentation of client proposals including approaches, resourcing, costing, quality assurance and commercial risk management including use of near shore and off shore delivery centres. • Managing and executing the delivery of engagements. • Reviewing and writing client reports including findings and recommendations. • Managing and mentoring D&A personnel and wider engagement team members e.g. change resources etc Candidates should have excellent coverage of Data Management including: Full understanding of and in depth experience over 10+ years in the development and implementation of data management strategy, policies, procedures, controls and standards for the effective use of an organisation's information assets. This will include: • Data Governance structure and roles and responsibilities • Standards, Policies, Metrics & Controls • Master Data Management (MDM) • Data Quality Management (DQM) • Metadata Management • In depth experience designing and enabling effective Data Governance & Data Quality management capabilities including development of data governance structures, data standards and data metrics across multiple projects, as well as the business change aspects of enabling organisations to treat their data as an asset. • Strong data quality assessment and data quality improvement skills, including knowledge of different data quality improvement approaches and remediation strategies, and good experience of “hands on” root cause analysis of data quality issues • Experience with leading Data Quality and Data Governance tools, including offerings from IBM, SAP, Oracle, Talend, Informatica, Microsoft, Collibra etc • Experience of designing and delivering MDM solutions using a variety of approaches and technologies (e.g. SAP MDG-M, IBM InfoSphere MDM, Orchestra Networks, Informatica MDM, Stibo, Visionware Multivue) • Experience of technical implementation skills and solutions would also be highly preferential: • Advanced MS Access and MS Excel (including VBA) • Experience using SQL for modifying, manipulating and transforming data • Experience with RDBMS technologies (e.g. Oracle, MS SQLServer, IBM DB2, Teradata) • Experience with Data Integration technologies including ETL (e.g. Informatica PowerCenter, IBM Infosphere DataStage, MS SSIS) Qualifications/skills you'll need to be a Senior Manager in Technology, Data & Analytics (Data Management): Other Preferred Qualifications: Educated to degree level or equivalent by qualification or experience Relevant technical accreditations and / or professional project management qualification highly advantageous (e.g. Informatica / IBM / PRINCE2 / PMI / TOGAF) Other Requirements Travel across UK&I will be required and potentially within the wider EMEIA region and candidates must be prepared to stay away from home, depending on client and engagement requirements.
