Description About the role An opportunity has become available for a Senior Claims Consultant to join our Claims Advocacy team based in Melbourne. The successful candidate will provide a high level of claims management services to clients and brokers through consulting, advisory, advocacy and negotiation. Your main responsibilities will include: Constantly liaising with clients, insurers, claimants, brokers, Solicitors and Loss Adjusters Learning and interpreting policy wordings Arranging and/or conducting investigations Negotiating through the determination and/or settlement process on behalf of your clients Determining claims settlements for under-deductible claims and liaising with the State Manager on complex claims Preparing various client targeted reports including trend analysis Preparing for and attending client meetings, including annual or quarterly claims review meetingsQualifications Skills and Experience required: A minimum of five years of Claims experience Exposure to all lines of Insurance claims would be highly regarded Compliance with Tier 1 (Insurance Broking) requirements A bachelor’s degree in Insurance, Law or a related field ideal but not essential Strong interpersonal skills and a strong customer focus The ability to meet tight deadlines and successfully prioritise your work tasks A thorough knowledge of Word and Excel is essential The successful candidate will be working within a supportive team and will have the chance to genuinely own the portfolio and work in an autonomous fashion with an impressive group of clients.
