We do this by increasing the customers trust in and safety of, our internet services. All ISPs must manage abuse of their platforms in order to maintain connectivity to internet services. Our internal and external customers expect that BT will protect them from internet threats, particularly those where the BT brand is abused for criminal purposes. Failure to do so risks compromising customers view of BT as a safe and trusted ISP, disconnection from key services and brand reputation damage to the business. Working with other security teams, the BT Trust & Safety Centre (TaSC) identifies threats both reactively and proactively and leads for the business on addressing these issues with our customers. This wrap extends to all MFUs except GS Italy at this time. What you'll be doing The Security analyst role is a multi-faceted position that requires both a technical knowledge of network security systems/concepts as well as the ability to successfully communicate with and work directly with BT Security stakeholders. You will meet compliance of all Security requirements relating to protecting customer data & meeting Data Protection requirements. You will demonstrate Security compliance to protect BT. You will undertake duties in all areas relating to the Trust & Safety Team You will manage the issues raised into the team either by the various Abuse@ (or related) mailboxes or via inbound calls to the team. You will be responsible for upholding the internal policies and standards and in addition the relevant elements of the Contact Centre requirements document. You will support operational relationships with key partners in BT & our third party suppliers. You will demonstrate the ability to engage and communicate clearly in order to motivate and inspire people to deliver. You will provide technical assistance and recommendations to support: Proactive risk management – identify issues and take personal action to mitigate or highlight the risk Reactive incident management – act with a sense of urgency to minimise business impact with clear stakeholder communication throughout Ability to prioritise effort and make decisions based on business impact You are authorised to access, use or disclose customer information only when you need to do so to perform your operational duties. Any other access, use, or disclosure may only be made on receipt of additional authority from the information owner We'll also need to see these on your CV Demonstrate an ability to identify cyber threats impacting our customers. Demonstrate an ability to conduct trend analysis of threats and mitigations. Ability to analyse internet threat data from external sources. Demonstrate technical support to customers both within BT and external to BT. Demonstrate a good knowledge of the internet and malware issues. Demonstrate a competent understanding of BT.com portfolio and the products and services. Security Compliance – understanding, validating and challenging functional team’s compliance to BT Security Policy and Standards.
