An experienced field sales professional, ideally with a background in the construction industry, you are looking to develop your career in a business that will encourage your input, welcome your ideas and act on them. As Sales Representative you will manage your territory and ensure sales volumes and profit targets are delivered in line with our business plan. This will mean maximising sale opportunities within existing customers as well as identifying and winning new accounts. Your role will involve developing contact strategies, extending customer penetration for our products, increasing market intelligence and building relationships to gain new business. We will look to you to develop a strong technical understanding of our product range in order to understand customer needs and provide technical guidance to strengthen our offer. Important will be the ability to monitor and report effectiveness against targets as well as deliver customer service levels that ensure the market continues to use AkzoNobel products above all others.
As a commercially astute sales professional, you know how to develop sales plans, create contact strategies and deliver sales activities that meet customers’ needs.
Target driven you must also possess excellent negotiation, interpersonal and presentation skills. Good at monitoring effectiveness and providing management reporting you will also be familiar with maintaining CRM systems. Comfortable building relationships you are the sort of person who is passionate about excellence and delivers on commitments. A full driving license is essential. Experience of sales in the construction industry would be an advantage but is not essential.
