A Day in the Life We offer you a position where the main purpose is to sell Covidien's GSP range of consumable products (Laparoscopic Instrumentation, Ligation & Sutures). The jobholder is primarily responsible for selling the full range of products in assigned accounts in a professional manner to hospitals and related healthcare professionals as well as for the management of quality and consistency of product and service delivery. He/she will build strong ethical business relationships with a broad stakeholder base to ensure usage of our products and delivery of outcomes which are aligned to the strategic goals of their customers. He / she will cooperate and coordinate activities with the General Surgical Product team in the territory in order to maximize Surgical Solutions business opportunities. Customer Management Achieve agreed budgets, focused on sales growth. Present, in-service and sell GSP products and services to current and potential clients. Support and advise the physician on the correct use of Covidien devices. Prepare presentations, proposals and sales contracts. Manage account services through quality checks and other follow-up. Identify and resolve client concerns. Optimize tender management in region Business Development Lead with clinical selling activities within the territory. Identify sales prospects and contact these and other accounts as assigned. Prepare action plans and schedules to identify specific targets and to project the contacts to be made. Follow up on new leads and referrals resulting from field activity. Prepare paperwork to activate and maintain contract services. Working mainly in the Theatre environment converting surgeons, theatre personnel and Procurement teams. Interacting with purchasing managers / hospital administrators to set up and negotiate broader initiatives Take a wide organisational view of selling and managing accounts, with sufficient knowledge of competitors and their products Maintain customer knowledge by gathering information about account activities and potential, key decision makers, competitive participation, market share etc. Support & Training Prepare a variety of status reports, including activity, closings, follow-up, and adherence to goals. Communicate new product and service opportunities, special developments, information, or feedback gathered through field activity to appropriate company staff. Coordinate company staff to accomplish the work required to close sales. Educate and train Logistic Managers/ Purchasing Manager and Hospital Staff. Provide verbal technical support and organise regular in-services. Assist in National/International training requirements. Must Haves Proven ability in Sales and in growing a business generally. Proven ability in being able to demonstrate clinically expertise with medical devices products and job holder will be required to pass clinical based exams. Demonstrated tract record of sales (3 to 5 years), preferably in the surgical industry Ability to move in an Operating Room session and be familiar with specific requirements in the OR. Natural ability to spot business opportunities and to persuade and influence others. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are necessary to establish good working relationships with a wide range of customers. Advanced presentation and negotiation skills. Maintaining a professional appearance and providing a positive company image to the public. Product launch, territory planning and forecasting experience a plus. Used to work independently with a high level of time management skills Good IT skills, including all Microsoft packages and proficiency in using modern multi-media tools. Sales driven, business minded and with an entrepreneurial spirit. A good listener to colleagues of different levels with an ability to understand and to execute plans. A service-oriented team player concerned with helping people, both internally and externally. A fast action person whose energy is combined with empathy, logic and communication skills.
