Quantity Surveyor Manchester Up to £38,750 per annum Permanent, Full Time One Manchester is an innovative provider of housing and community services, formed in April 2015 from a merger between two of Manchester’s largest housing associations (i.e. City South and Eastlands Homes). In the subsequent years the Group has achieved its initial merger aspirations and is now extending and expanding its new homes’ programme across a range of tenures and locations.One Manchester currently owns and manages more than 12,000 homes in central, south and east Manchester and the 30 year business plan requires a significant annual programme of work for Asset investment. An exciting opportunity has arisen within our Assets team for an intermediate / or advanced level Quantity Surveyor. The successful applicant will possess all round effective and efficient quantity surveying skills, with ability to provide commercial, contract and financial management service to schemes and support the Contracts Manager to ensure projects and contracts are delivered in line with time, cost and quality targets. Applicants must have:- An appropriate QS related academic qualification (HNC or Degree) and possess / or be working towards a professional QS Membership of RICS and well maintained CPD records Experience of undertaking a quantity surveying role - both pre and post contract Good communication, presentation and interpersonal skills Experience of managing external contractors, consultants, customer and stakeholders Up to date knowledge of relevant legislation Full understanding of the industry Forms of Building Contract, Codes of Practice & Procedure This post is an excellent opportunity for a qualified Quantity Surveyor or an intermediate / graduate looking to develop and progress their career. Therefore, the appointment will be made within a salary development range of between £31,000 up to a maximum of £38,750, with starting salary in this range relative to experience & qualifications.
