Quality / Training / Specification Engineer (Mechanical Bias) £35,000 - £40,000 (based upon experience/qualification)
An exciting opportunity to join our expanding team as a field based Mechanical Quality / Training Engineer. Working as part of our Engineering Team to ensure our field Engineers produce work of the highest standard both by specifying installation methods and also by training our Engineers on those methods along with Q/A assessment’s.
Your role will be to assess/specify the processes of our teams installing world class commercial vehicle security and safety products from our diverse range including high security locking, insurance specification alarm systems, air operated locking, air brake immobilisation devices, reversing cameras, CCTV systems and so on. Whilst the role will be very much biased towards the mechanical aspects of our installations, an individual with a basic understanding of electrical systems on vehicles would be at an advantage.
The ideal candidate for this role will have experience working on mechanically biased installations with some electrical understanding, preferably relating the commercial vehicles although this is not essential. In terms of a measure of the split between Mechanical and Electrical qualification / experience we would say a 80/20 split in favour of mechanical would be perfect.
As a Quality/Training Engineer(Mechanical), you will undertake daily duties specifying and assessing the installation of our security and safety systems to commercial vehicle fleets across the UK and may involve overseas travel also. You will assume the responsibility for the quality of our Installation Engineers finished product and also their training and for producing training material to support the training, which will be held on our technical web site
