•Establish the procurement strategy for each project
•Liaise with Estimators on assigned projects to help identify Value Engineering opportunities and negotiation opportunities
•Identify which work packages require full sub-contract strategy meetings When required, assist Estimators with tender analysis
•Take up references on sub-contractors and suppliers Establish work packages to be sub-let and establish Design and Procurement schedule/programme.
•Liaise with other team members to agree order placement dates, information issue dates etc.
•Maintain/update procurement schedule and communicate this to the team
•Arrange comprehensive enquiries which meet the overall project strategies, work package strategies and main material strategies
•Consider and review any quotes gained at Estimating stage. Review the enquiries and issue supplementary information as necessary
•Agree contract terms with sub-contractors and suppliers. Refer any deviations from the norm to the commercial manager for discussion/approval
•Arrange, chair and minute pre-selection interviews
•Continually source new sub-contractors
The Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 + benefits
