The Faculty of Finance is home to world-leading academics with exemplary research and education expertise in all key areas of finance. It nurtures scholars who strive for international impact through their research, education and service. The Faculty is seeking to appoint an outstanding academic as Professor in Finance.
Responsibilities
The appointed Professor will be a major contributor to the achievement of the academic objectives of the School and to academic excellence at City, University of London, in line with Vision & Strategy 2026 and its supporting strategies. He or she will also make a significant contribution as a member and leader of the wider academic community, will contribute to the School’s world-leading and internationally excellent research; and will provide leadership within the Faculty of Finance, in the Business School and in the wider university. He or she will also design and deliver course modules and associated assessments; support and mentor students; and contribute to curriculum development and innovation.
Person Specification
The successful candidate will be an academic of considerable standing in the international academic community; will have a PhD in Finance, Financial Economics or a relevant discipline; will have published research of world-leading or internationally excellent quality, particularly in asset pricing and related fields; will have supervised several PhD students to completion; and will have a proven track record of excellence in delivering outstanding education and of contributing to a high quality student experience.
