Description The Mercer Digital Products team in UK & Ireland is seeking an ambitious Junior Product Owner to play a pivotal role in the day-to-day imagination, definition and execution of a growing set of Consumer digital capabilities and products in the areas of FinTech, HealthTech and BenefitsTech. The Junior Product Owner will work closely with the wider Product Owner team, as well as the Visual Design, User Experience, Testing and Engineering teams. This role would be ideally suited to someone with relevant experience as Product Owner or Business Analyst who is looking for an opportunity to really own products end to end and get exposure to wide range of disciplines in a fast moving Consumer business. Responsibilities: Product Design Champion product improvement and innovation across the Digital Team and the Consumer business for assigned product sets Facilitate the translation of the customer experience into User Stories. (BDD/ Gherkin script writing techniques would be a huge bonus!) Lead conversations with our User Experience and User Interface Design teams. Project Delivery Develop and maintain realistic plans and roadmaps for product development on specific products for the full product lifecycle. Ensure that these are feasible, financially viable and appropriately prioritised. Actively manage development backlogs by creating, prioritizing and grooming product backlog -including the validation thereof, through backlog grooming sessions with business stakeholders and technical leads. Commericalisation Drive the eCommerce opportunities within the platform-especially focussed on acquisition, early tenure, conversion, optimisation and loyalty Optimisation Monitor and research key and emerging trends relating to assigned product sets. Integrate usability studies, research and market analysis into product requirements to enhance user satisfaction. Qualifications Experience: Proven experience of digital product development and management. Experience delivering digital within large organisations with multiple stakeholders and audiences in the private and/or public sector. Good experience of business analysis, product design, user acceptance testing, trend analysis and marketing. Experience developing social products, technologies and platforms is strongly desired Experience of working in a project management / software development environment, ideally including hands-on project management experience. Substantial experience of working collaboratively to achieve high quality outcomes. Knowledge and skills Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO)/ Certified Scrum Professional (CSP) qualification or equivalent demonstrable working knowledge of Agile Methodology and Kanban. Awareness of User Centred Design principles and practices. Good understanding of software development processes (including Agile philosophy and Kanban) Knowledge of web analytics, ideally including Adobe Omniture Site Catalyst and/ or Google Analytics.
