This is an exciting opportunity to join an established start up business, experiencing exponential growth, on their mission to bring an innovative approach to providing a quality supply chain in the food service sector.
The ideal candidate will have a background in food buying to support the Purchasing function with strategic approaches to the management of product supply and contractual agreements. This will include managing and developing positive relations with key suppliers, leading commercial and price negotiations, identify cost saving opportunities and identifying, auditing and approving new suppliers.
You will have legal knowledge of supply contracts with the ability to negotiate and agree terms and conditions for complex contracts, ensuring maximum value and cost down impact on bottom line profit, together with the flexibility to operate in a hands-on start-up environment where you will also engage with internal and external stakeholders.
Strong data analysis skills are required together with advanced Microsoft Excel and previous experience of working in the fresh food sector.
