About the Job

Principal UI Developer required with background building component based UI's combined with strong skills in JavaScript front end / UI development either in ReactJS, Vue.js or Angular to take a role in the technical leadership of the UI / Front End of a complex trading platform refactoring / architecting and developing it from Sencha ExtJS to a modern framework with a component based UI which can support automated test and continuous delivery of multiple features and geographies is required by fast growing start up based in Cambridge with green credentials.

Salary £65-75k + Bens + Stock

Key Skills required as a Principal UI Developer would include

Strong core JavaScript skills / ES6
HTML5/CSS3
Experience with testable JavaScript frameworks such as ReactJS, Vue.js, AngularJS, or Sencha ExtJS
Demonstrable experience of TDD and JavaScript Test Automation, utilising frameworks and tools such as jasmine, wallaby, etc.
Understands isolated UI component deployment to support rapid deployment and test
Follows SOLID principles
Experience with RESTful APIs
AWS cloud services
Agile working practices such as Scrum and Kanban
Good degree in Computer Science or related discipline

Nice to haves as a Principal UI Development would include

BDD (Cucumber, Gherkin) and black box automated testing (Selenium)
Docker and Containerised deployments
Java and Java Web Application Frameworks such as SpringBoot or others
Configuration management, deployment management and related tools
Any experience of team leadership / line management

Key Responsibilities as the Principal UI Developer would include

Technical lead for front-end development of the Trading Platform working closely with UX Designer
Lead refactoring of the front end product to support automated test and continuous delivery of multiple features to multiple geographies
Delivering high-quality, tested and robust code that achieves the company's aims according to specification
