The role holder will be accountable for the professional development and continual improvement of our monitoring and event management capabilities, defining how we work and ensuring we leverage the full functionality available from our portfolio of monitoring tools.
Additionally, you will be responsible for establishing a community of practice across IT and our lines of business, driving adoption of the practice and tools, whilst also ensuring awareness of the service being delivered from the Operation Centre.
Could this role be for you?
The right candidate will have extensive knowledge of IT Operations Management, ITSM Best Practice (ITIL certified) and possess a sound understanding of how IT services are delivered.
They should be able to show experience of the following: driving a community of practice, supporting an IT Operations function, developing and maintaining a monitoring solution, delivering continual improvement and securing compliance to agreed ways of working.
Additionally, they must possess a comprehensive knowledge of the ITOM features available within ServiceNow (preferably possessing a ServiceNow certification in Event Management). Exposure to monitoring and event detection tools, particularly Dynatrace (also SolarWinds, ThousandEyes, Splunk, etc), would be very advantageous.
