The job holder will provide proactive support within the firm’s technology, commercial, and data legal practice areas and will be reporting to the Co-Heads of Commercial. The job holder will also work closely with the Privacy Legal Practice Group which is a cohesive cross firm group made up of practitioners from Commercial and Employment.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who loves technology & data and ideally has commercial contracts experience to:
a) showcase thought leadership (via meetings, training, articles, videos and podcasts)
b) get involved in client training; and
c) refresh and expand our technology, data and commercial precedent bank.
The PDL will be required to focus on core practice development and professional support activities, including:
The successful candidate is likely to be an associate (5-10 years+ PQE). Prior PDL experience is not necessary. This role requires a good understanding of data and technology. A background in commercial contracts is advantageous.
The candidate should be technically excellent, a good drafter and writer and commercially savvy. The candidate should be excited by tech and data.
A team-oriented, collegiate person and effective communicator (with strong drafting skills and presentation skills). Good practical knowledge of IT and Know How systems is required.
Previous practice development/professional support experience may be beneficial.
