This role offers a student valuable experience during a one year placement working in professional software development environment before the final year of their IT based degree, with the potential of a permanent role post-graduation.
Required Knowledge and Experience
Candidates must be highly motivated and demonstrate an excellent mix of analytical and technical skills and have:
- Completed two years of a four year IT related degree with a requirement for a placement in the third year.
- Studied areas and modules relevant to this placement position.
- Good communication skills and the ability, essential in order to build business domain knowledge and further technical skills.
- Knowledge of structured programming concepts and design and an understanding of relational databases
- Experience of or exposure to Oracle databases and PL-SQL programming.
Desired Knowledge and Experience
Experience of Web technologies including: XML, HTML and CSS.
Security Clearance / CRB Clearance
Candidates must be able to demonstrate a pre-existing right to work and travel within the EU. Documentary evidence will be requested at interview.
Candidates may have to go through CRB clearance as part of this role.
