People Development Coordinator

The People Development Coordinator will play an essential role in the People team, providing robust, efficient and professional administration support. A key driver for the People Development Strategy is to expand our current apprenticeship offering, this is a new role, working with business functions together with external apprenticeship providers to manage and coordinate apprenticeship placements.
Responsibilities of People Development Coordinator:
•To build a portfolio of Apprenticeship programmes and providers to meet business needs.
•Completing new starter paperwork and all necessary apprenticeship administration
•Working with the Government's DAS portal to enter apprenticeship information and ensure accurate reporting.
•Co-ordinate technical apprentice programme placements to make sure they gain the correct experience/skills needed for successful completion of the programme.
•Support internal requests for information and processing of internal apprenticeship applications.
•Maintain and demonstrate a sound working knowledge of apprenticeship policy and procedures in order to provide advice and guidance.
•Support recruitment and attraction activity associated with Apprenticeships.
•Support with the production of training materials
•Lead the delivery of small/medium projects within the team’s remit, managing deliverables in line with project expectation and quality standards.
•Work with colleagues and stakeholders across Nexus and its subsidiaries to build and foster strong relationships, understand their needs and manage their expectations.
Requirements of the People Development Coordinator:
•Knowledge and understanding of learning and development and apprenticeship programmes.
•Comprehensive experience of administration work.
•Knowledge of the Construction Industry desirable but not essential.
•Exceptional attention to detail.
•Exceptional organisational skills with sound ability to prioritise workload.
•Work under pressure and to meet strict deadlines
•Ability to work independently on own initiative
•Experience within a fast moving, complex and changing environment.
•Well rounded general qualifications at GCSE & A level.
•Excellent IT skills to include Outlook, MS Word, Excel & PowerPoint.
•Willingness to learn and develop
