We are urgently recruiting for part time family support workers/social work assistants in Norwich and across Norfolk with relevant family support, social work or childcare background to work in the community with families offering support and contact supervision. As this is demand driven role days and hours vary, so it works well alongside other part time work as you can choose which work to accept based on your availability .
Applicants for both roles MUST hold a licence to drive in the UK and be a car owner as well as have a current enhanced DBS dated within the last two years for the child workforce
You will undertake in house training as part of the recruitment process. We support the local authority in service delivery to children and families in need. This may include supervising contact between children in care and their parents and other complex family support roles. The role is to work in partnership with social workers, foster carers, children and their parents. You must also be confident to work alone following initial training. We are also seeking people willing to undertake intensive Family Support Work day /night / bank holiday shifts up to 12 hours when needed . However, This is an option for this interested in occasional night work or longer shifts but by no means essential .
Due to the demand driven nature of our work this is a zero hours contract, there are no guaranteed minimum hours each week
