A competitive salary between £50,000– £60,000– dependent on capability
As well as your base salary, you will receive a bonus of up to 15% of your salary for stretch performance and a competitive contributory pension scheme where we will double match your contribution to a maximum company contribution of 12%\. **About the role**
As the Infrastructure Operations Manager you are responsible for operational aspects of infrastructure business as usual support services for CNI Systems in the UK\. In addition, responsibility includes insuring that those services are cost efficient and aligned to the direction of the UK Business\. All of the services delivered by CNI Infrastructure Services are key to the safe, secure, efficient and reliable operation of the Gas and Electricity Transmission and Distribution Networks in the UK\. As all critical infrastructure systems and data centres are highly available, 24x7 365 on call escalation, incident management and out of hours decision making is required for this position\. Consequences of a system or data centre failure is the shutdown of the electricity or gas networks in the UK, causing high financial and reputation damage to National Grid, including its license to operate\.
Educated to degree level in Power system Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Computer Science or, an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience\. Havea strong background of Utility operational technology \(CNI Preferred\) Experience of Data Centre Management, providing infrastructure support for real time operational systems\.
+ Experience of supporting mission critical systems at a senior level, with a good knowledge of system technologies, data centre management, monitoring tools and processes in a 24x7 365 support environment\.
+ Strong managerial background with proficiency in analytical, decision making, organisation, technical and staff management\.
+ Influencing, team work, leadership and presentation ability to all levels within the organisation, ability to delegate effectively to technical staff whilst maintaining full management control\.
+ Ability to grasp, analyse and convey complex issues and their interactions within National Grid and Supplier Organisations\.
+ Understand both security and external regulations that impact operational technology systems \(CNI\)\.
