As Network Service Manager, you'll drive a team to facilitate project requirements, from initiation through to delivery. What you'll do
By effectively managing a technical project team within Infrastructure Projects (IP) Technical Resourcing, you'll make sure project requirements are supported through to delivery. Core to your role is focusing on continuous improvement within the team, both in terms of infrastructure performance and operating models. Your team will provide fantastic, fit for purpose services to make sure new projects and existing services are provided at a high standard.
As such, you'll lead all aspects of networks project team activities to provide a tailored service across Infrastructure Projects. You'll contribute to and execute plans to improve the technical resourcing operating model, systems and processes, while ensuring this is carried out in line with the wider strategy. You'll work collaboratively with a variety of network vendors to drive high performance.
You'll manage the renewals of both contract and managed service resources, while providing challenge and assurance when necessary. You'll also manage escalations within your team and across other teams.
What you'll bring
To succeed in this role, you'll have an understanding of data networks, as well as project methodology and lifecycle experience. You'll have previously managed third party suppliers and have experience reporting and presenting data to senior audiences.
You'll be confident managing conflicting activities, while meeting demanding timescales, and have a proven ability to manage several teams. Knowledge of IT architecture and infrastructure is required. You'll have excellent written and verbal communication skills, which you'll draw upon to build fantastic relationships with customers.
