IT Operations manages the IT infrastructure and supporting services thatare critical for HSBC employees and customers, such as cost-efficient hardware,system software, middleware and databases, data centres, voice and datanetworks, ATMs, desktops and other devices.

We are currently seeking a highlymotivated individual with experience of working within an IT role to join thisteam in the role of Network Analyst.
The Network Analystrole is based within the Global DDI (DNS, DHCP & IP Address Management) Engineeringteam within Telecommunication Services.
The team is responsible for the management and support of global DDI servicesand infrastructure supporting Internal and Internet facing system'sconnectivity. The team also provide project support for both IT and businessdriven initiatives with DDI requirements.
Working alongside Senior Engineers and Subject MatterExperts, the Network Analyst will have responsibility for the provision, and 2nd/3rdline support of DDI services on a global network, specifically using QIP,runIP, Infoblox and efficientIP technologies.This includes working with the DDI Implementation and support team tosupport both the development of new functions and facilities and the on-goingsystems support following go-live.
DDI is a niche area and as such this is a fantasticopportunity for a skilled and highly motivated technician to specialise in acore and critical infrastructure technology area. On the job training andmentoring is available for the right candidate.
Supporting and maintaining full functionalityof equipment and applications provided by the DDI team.
Ensuring all aspects of the environment aremaintained efficiently with minimal disruption to the customer base.
Working effectively as part of the global teamto drive infrastructure deliverables and support requirements.
Ensuring that standard ITIL processes arefollowed correctly and appropriately, e.g. problem management, incidentmanagement, release management, change management and configuration management.Implement ITIL best practice where applicable.
Identifying, monitoring, driving and trackingservice improvements creating and managing a culture of continuous improvement.
An appreciation and understanding of Networkingtechnologies
Experience working in an IT or infrastructuresupport role
Experience of managing, or have participatedin, large scale infrastructure project deployments and will have the ability toprovide support for these technologies.
Supported project teams/managers, showing anunderstanding of the basic principles of project management
A strong desire to learn new skills, take onnew challenges and work closely with colleagues to drive positive outcomes.
Experience working in a large scale ITdeployment supporting Financial Services is desirable
Experience of making prompt and practicalbusiness decision, even in times of ambiguity, considering various perspectivesand taking responsibility for outcomes
An understanding of the regulatory frameworksand compliance requirements associated with financial services and experienceof working within these
A background in DDI technologies, experiencemanaging and maintaining QIP/ Infoblox / efficient IP infrastructures.
