Wood is currently recruiting for Mechanical Work Preparators with experience in the oil and gas petrochemical industry. Ensure all Maintenance activities, are prepared to allow a safe and environmentally responsible operation Comply with all Client and Wood HSE principles, policies, and procedures. Responsible for the daily selection of both PM & Breakdown work orders for preparation following prioritisation guidelines (TAR related only). Apply technical knowledge to determine equipment problems, failure modes and identifying appropriate solutions in order to develop work packs Ensure work order look a heads are performed and reflected in schedules / Maintenance plans. Work closely with the offshore supervision to optimise vendor / specialist activities ensuring no mobilisations take place where comprehensive work preparation is not complete and executable When required attend Short and Long term IAP meetings Responsible for running daily ready for execution checks & setting relevant work orders for scheduling. Responsible for ensuring all constraints (incl materials) are managed in relation to rough scheduled dates and target finish dates. Evaluate Work Pack feedback to improve future work preparation utilising the Z6 process Responsible for determining planned man hours & updating estimate man hours fields Responsible for maintaining a high standard of work preparation to allow the accurate measurement work load status Perform quality checks on Breakdown, Repair & Folllow On Work Orders to ensure the scope has been full completed and the work order history is correctly closed out. Support Shell Discipline Engineers / TA’s to define and prepare packaged equipment repairs. Interface with TAR co-ordinators with regard to identifying pre/post-TAR activities and also TAR specific critical activities. As required attends daily Work Order review and prioritisation meetings Where required will comply with Management of Change Process (e-MOC) and liaise with Technical Authorities (TA2). As required generate of weekly/monthly reports (KPI info \ efficiency data) Thorough understanding of key legislative and regulatory frameworks applicable to UKCS, including HSSE policies. In depth knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance practices and principles. Skilled in assessing and prioritising work based on critical systems and equipment requirements, project commitments, age of work orders and resource availabilityA self-starter who is pro-active and displays a strong sense of initiative, drive and energy Strong organisational skills with a particular eye for “attention to detail” Proven ability to manage a diverse range of activities and relationships Strong communication skills and proven ability to interface with internal and external clients at all levels. Excellent team-working skills, inspiring trust and loyalty in others. Proven ability to work as part of multi-disciplinary Operations and Maintenance team. Experienced in Shell’s MIE and FSR processes A detailed understanding of the maintenance workflow process. Skilled in using SAP to prepare work packages and monitor materials availability. Highly skilled in applying technical knowledge to determine equipment problems (including knowledge of RCA techniques and their applicability) and identifying appropriate solutions in order to develop work packs Knowledge of Primavera project software and its use in developing network plans, including critical paths and resourcing advantageous In depth awareness of Performance Standards & Safety Case requirements HNC/D or above (Minimum requirement) Valid offshore medical & survival certification required.
