Role Overview As the Strategic Planning and Marketing Specialist for Consulting, you will lead all strategy and marketing activities for the portfolio of offerings in the GVA, Granherne, Energo as well as KBR Downstream Consulting businesses. You should be able to perform detailed market studies for key technologies and offerings within each segment, including market trends, competitive position, market share, customer segmentation, etc. in order to provide strategic support and guidance to the business leaders. In collaboration with Sales and Technical peers, you will lead strategic initiatives to enable strong business growth in the next years. You will provide branding guidance and leadership to strengthen and maintain KBR’s competitive position in the market place. You will develop and own messaging and value proposition for the offerings in the portfolio, as well as be responsible for the creation, maintenance and revision of marketing collateral including digital content. You will work with various KBR groups to develop complimentary service offerings to KBR’s consulting business. You will assist on the research and analysis of potential business opportunities, including feasibility studies, market research and planning. You will provide the businesses with recommendations for new technology or service development and/or alliance / acquisition targets and develop and implement launch plans for new offerings being added to the portfolio. You will aid the regional sales teams on positioning each offering based on the region’s competitive landscape and the technology’s strengths. You will be responsible to manage KBR consulting website content and design to ensure that new and consistent information is posted regularly. Develop, execute and manage search engine optimization (SEO), search engine marketing (SEM), Google analytics and content marketing strategies. You will own and maintain the segments’ conference list, and offer recommendations on conference budgeting. You will be required to ensure compliance with KBR’s Code of Conduct. Education, Skills and Experience Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline and/or technical degree strongly preferred. Experience in manufacturing or engineering highly preferred, including experience in Marketing and/or Business Development or MBA. Experience in upstream field strongly preferred. Must be capable of performing market analysis; customer segmentation, competitive position, SWOT analysis, value chain mapping, etc. Ability to understand the customer’s operation, challenges, market constraints, regulation challenges, etc. is essential In-depth knowledge of marketing communication principles and practices required. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong editing skills. High level of organization and attention to detail, demonstrated capability to interface and maintain effective relationships with KBR various functions globally. Working knowledge of Google analytics. Strong proficiency using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and various software programs such as the Adobe Creative Cloud, Prezi, etc. Must be available and willing to travel at least 50% domestic/international.
