Salary will start at £23,673 with opportunities to progress within the role up to the maximum of £26,119.*
*Salary quoted is based on full-time salary (37 hours) and 27.5 days annual leave and 8 bank holidays. Employees can buy or sell up to 5 days leave if full-time or for part-time staff up to their weekly contracted hours.

As a Marketing Executive, you will work across a range of market leading products and services for the Met Office. You will be up to speed on latest market trends and use insight to inform and define key product and marketing strategies.
You will work across the full marketing mix and on all marketing disciplines, such as business planning, product development, marketing communications, market and customer intelligence and pricing and proposition development.
If successful you will join our Marketing Team supporting a range of sectors including business to consumer, business to government and business to business.

Conduct marketing activity across market sectors, segments or channels to improve market understanding and support the delivery of agreed business plans.
Gather, store and analyse information around customers, competitors & markets in order for business programmes to build plans which meet agreed objectives. Assist with implementation of marketing plans to ensure the improved understanding and/or recruitment and retention of customers to deliver agreed business plans.Create & execute specific marketing activity which meets agreed objectives, e.g. events, exhibitions, research, web content, or online campaigns.To deliver support to the business programme by ensuring appropriate customer/ market information is gathered and shared enabling colleagues to recruit and retain customers.
Essential Qualifications, Skills & Abilities
1. Experience of working in a marketing or business related environment
2. Marketing or business related degree or other suitable qualification (CIM, CIPR).
3. Ability to juggle and prioritise workloads, working independently or as part of a team with the support of line manager.
4. Excellent communication skills (written, oral, presentation, listening)
5. Strong teamwork skills and a willingness to help others.
Desirable Qualifications, Skills & Abilities
Some of the following would be desirable:
- Experience of product development and pricing
- Willingness to work towards a CIM qualification

This role will nominally be based in Exeter with some travel to other sites as required (mostly day trips).
