Role- Managing Director
Salary- £80,000-90,000 + Package
My client is a construction contractor which specialises in High End Residential and Commercial Projects.
The Managing Director will ideally have the following attributes:
•Experience providing strategic direction and an operating framework whilst effectively directing the management team to ensure stated objectives and goals are met
•Excellent experience with budgets, contracts, policies, health and safety and environmental standards.
•Undertaking cost analysis and cash flow forecasts.
•Be from a Construction background
The Managing Director role will involve:
•Attendance at monthly board meetings
•Personal responsibility for the development and diversification of the company into technically demanding and competitive markets.
•Promoting the company at various show and exhibitions
•Identifying new markets for the diversification and growth of the company
•Managing company budgets
•Recruitment of specialist staff
•Procurement of plant and equipment
•Major contracts - pricing, overseeing, providing client and key consultant liaison, undertaking cost analysis and cash flow forecasts.
•Development of staff and management team.
•Ensuring that the business is run in compliance with the Companies' Act, anti bribery and corruption law and policies.
•Briefing staff on all relevant aspects of the Company business.
•Representing the company at various meetings which it is associated with including the Land Drainage Contractors Association, SAPCA and other trade bodies.
•Approval of Company Policies with regard to Quality, Health & Safety and the Environment and ensuring that these are communicated and understood.
•Ensuring business continuity is adequately planned for in the event of an emergency
•Ultimate responsibility for compliance with health, safety, quality and environmental standards and legislation.
